How to order a Full/Express Tenant Reference

Sending online applications to your tenants by email (Full/Express Tenant References)
To make things even easier; you can complete these details yourself (online) or you can invite your tenants (or guarantors) to complete their own applications online.
Simply provide the name and email address of each prospective tenant or guarantor and we will send each person an email asking them to complete their application online. You will be able to check the status of the application at any time and view their application details within your account.
At the end of the process your tenant will be asked to print and return a signed declaration. This will authorise the applicants’ referees to respond to our enquiries. A fax or email scan is sufficient for the majority of employers.

Obtaining consent to carry out checks
You must obtain consent before carrying out a check on an individual. You can obtain consent by using our consent declaration form.
However, for Full/Express Tenant References you may invite the applicants to complete their applications online. If you choose this option then we will obtain the consent directly from the tenant or guarantor.
The applicant will be asked to provide their consent during the application process and will also have to print and sign a declaration and return it to us. Please note that this site and our services are governed by the 1998 Data Protection Act.

You will receive a notification email to your registered email address letting your know the report is available in your account.

Making payment for services
SAL Tenant Referencing is provided on a pay as you order basis. At the time of placing your order payment by debit/credit card is required. Once payment has been made via our secure payment server your order will be accepted and you will receive an automatic invoice sent by email to your registered email address.

Changing your card billing address
When you make a payment for a tenant reference your account address must match the address that your credit/debit card is registered to. If you need to change the address you have registered on your tenant referencing account please email
